I recently had the pleasure of staying at Doctor's House, and it was a unique experience that offered a blend of simplicity and comfort. The value proposition here is quite intriguing. The absence of breakfast wasn't a concern for me as I orchestrated a small deal with Eli to enjoy a morning coffee in exchange for some locally sold fruits. This personalized touch added to the charm of the stay.The room I stayed in was on the ground floor, number 11, featuring two desks and a full-size bed. The patio outside provided a peaceful spot for morning stretches, and it was equipped with a table, chairs, and a clothes rack. While I didn't opt for air conditioning, the room remained comfortable due to Bulgaria's lower humidity compared to my home state of Florida.Eli, the owner, exuded a warm and welcoming demeanor, which truly enhanced the overall experience. The cleanliness and maintenance of the room were commendable, and the availability of hot water was consistent. The proximity to the beaches and cliffside walks made the location ideal for exploration.While Doctor's House doesn't boast extravagant luxuries like flat-screen TVs or elaborate toiletries, its authentic charm and friendly atmosphere make it a compelling choice for those seeking a genuine Balkan experience. If you're willing to forgo some modern amenities in exchange for a cozy and personalized stay, this hidden gem is definitely worth considering.
